The Port of Gothenburg contributes to innovation in future transport solutions

The Port of Gothenburg is part of the international Interreg Value4Sea project, which focuses on identifying improvements in transport chains and developing sustainable solutions for port operations. The project emphasizes autonomous transport units, conceptual models for reducing CO2 footprints, and digital prototypes for integrating customs and logistics systems.
The project involves 19 participants and a budget of €2.7 million, with Interreg ØKS and Interreg Norway providing financial support. Together with research institutions and industry players from Norway, Sweden, and Denmark, the Port of Gothenburg contributes insights and expertise in areas such as autonomous transport and information flows.
The Port of Gothenburg's primary focus lies in information exchange for inland transportation. This includes analyzing the effects of track-and-trace solutions and understanding the need for data collection within the transport chain. By participating in knowledge-sharing and collaborating with leading stakeholders, the port helps drive the development of smarter and more sustainable logistics solutions.
