Roads

Did you know that Gothenburg is the meeting point for several major European highways? Regardless of the direction in which you are travelling, you can access the Port of Gothenburg rapidly and conveniently.

Gothenburg really is located in the heart of Scandinavia. With the E6 motorway you can travel to Oslo or Copenhagen in just 3-4 hours. The RV40, E4 and E20 motorways provide links to the Stockholm area, which can be reached in 5-6 hours. For transport to or from the most northerly parts of the country, the E45 via Karlstad is the ideal alternative.
