Brandon set to become first tenant
On December 1, the brand merchandise company Brandon will be the first tenant in the new NCC logistics building at the Port of Gothenburg Logistics Park.
“We haven’t moved very far. We already had a facility close to the port. But when NCC offered us modern and more energy-efficient premises directly beside the port entrance, it felt that it was the ideal solution for us. The generous ceiling height allows us to store large volumes of goods per square metre and achieve better storage efficiency,” said Mathias Andreasson, Logistics Director at Brandon.
Brandon designs and develops store materials and products for international companies and brands. The products are manufactured in Asia and distributed worldwide. “It is a major advantage for us to be located close to the port as the products that we offer our customers are imported from Asia. Many of the products are also re-exported to various parts of the world after simply ‘touching down’ at our warehouse,” explained Mathias Andreasson.
Brandon leases 3,301 square metres in the new building, which has total floor space of 9,700 square metres. The rest of the building will be leased by Fisher Scientific – a global supplier of laboratory equipment and medical technology. Fisher Scientific will move in at the end of the year.
“Now that the first phase has been leased we can move on to phase 2 – a site covering 40,000 square metres where construction will begin next year. We are confident that we can rent out the property relatively quickly bearing in mind the considerable interest in establishing warehousing operations at the best logistics location in Sweden,” said Maria Björsander, Account Manager Logistics at NCC Property Development.
