America Cruise Terminal
It was from here, more than 100 years ago, that the first liners departed for North America and they continued to do so until 1975. This beautiful and historic setting revived 2018 and is now the central cruise terminal in Gothenburg.
America Cruise Terminal is situated on the same side of the river as the city centre. It is within walking distance of the centre and the inviting, vibrant districts of Linné, Haga and Järntorget. If you prefer to travel by public transport, it is only a short journey by tram or bus.
Just a few hundred metres from the quayside you find the areas of Masthugget and Majorna, both of which are of considerable historical and cultural importance.
The beautiful terminal building – Amerikaskjulet – was constructed in 1912 and has become one of the landmarks of Gothenburg. Guests will be welcomed in the reception hall, which will have a tourist information desk, souvenir shop and free Wi-Fi.
The America Cruise Terminal is located on the same side of the river as the city centre. The cozy and lively neighborhoods Linné, Haga and Järntorget are closeby, within walking distance.
