Waste

The terminals in the Port of Gothenburg receive all waste that a vessel needs to leave ashore and which has arisen as a result of normal operations on board the vessel. Waste handling is included in the port charge.

To hand over waste, notification must be made in VTMS no later than 24 hours before arrival.

The terminals could also have specific routines regarding the handling of waste. Contact the respective terminal for further information about this.

Vessels or shipping companies that work actively to minimise waste on board can receive a reduction in the charge.

In the Port of Gothenburg, there is also the opportunity to have toilet waste and grey water collected at all passenger terminals.
